Course Duration 3 Days (18 hours) 1 Day Distance Learning, 2 Days Classroom based learning Course Overview The First Aid at Work course is designed to train individuals and company staff that requires HSE approved first aid at work training to meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work Regulations. This course will provide all the required first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services. It also covers other topics such as COSHH, RIDDOR and other first aid health and safety at work information. The initial course is delivered over a minimum of 3 days (18 contact hours). The 2 day refresher course covers the complete syllabus and updates any changes to procedures or protocols. Who should attend? Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.
